Elements and Performance Criteria

  1. Prepare to inspect andmaintain pipeline easement
  2. Work health and safety (WHS)/occupational health and safety (OHS) workplace procedures and environmental measures for the site are identified and applied
  3. Topographical/geographical maps and workplace procedures for the site are obtained and job requirements discussed with relevant person/s to confirm the work schedule
  4. WHS/OHS, environmental and sustainable energy policies and procedures are obtained and applied in accordance with workplace procedures
  5. Easements and surrounding environments are inspected and assessed using appropriate mediums and civil activities to determine maintenance requirements in accordance with workplace procedures and job requirements
  6. Recommendations to assist with maintaining pipeline easements are made to others involved in the work in accordance with workplace procedures
  7. Hazards are identified, WHS/OHS risks are assessed and control measures prioritised, implemented and monitored in accordance with workplace procedures
  8. Scope of responsibility under the relevant work permit/authorisation is obtained and confirmed with relevant person/s in accordance with job requirements and workplace procedures
  9. Tools, equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE) required for the work are identified, obtained and checked for correct operation and safety in accordance with workplace procedures and manufacturer instructions
  10. Materials, plans, diagrams, drawings and resources required for the work are confirmed, scheduled and obtained in accordance with workplace procedures
  11. Responsibilities for related work safety and emergency procedures for an incident at the work site are confirmed with relevant person/s
  12. Client issues are referred to relevant person/s in accordance with industry and community standards
  13. Site preparation, safety plan and work schedule are confirmed with relevant person/s in accordance with workplace procedures
  14. Maintain pipeline easement and surrounding environment
  15. Materials, tools, equipment and measuring devices required for the maintenance work are selected and used correctly and safely in accordance with manufacturer instructions and workplace procedures
  16. Hazardous activities are conducted safely in accordance with WHS/OHS workplace procedures and job instructions
  17. Work area is isolated, made safe and civil activities and maintenance of pipeline easements carried out in accordance with job instructions, industry standards and workplace procedures
  18. Easement maintenance is conducted in agreed timeframe and to required standards, with a minimum of waste of materials or damage to apparatus, and the surrounding environment or services using sustainable energy principles
  19. WHS/OHS risks and incidents are reported to authorised person/s for directions in accordance with workplace procedures
  20. Unplanned events are referred to authorised person/s for directions in accordance with workplace procedures
  21. Remedial action required when maintaining pipeline easements is dealt with in accordance with workplace procedures
  22. Quality and safety checks of the work are undertaken in accordance with job instructions and workplace procedures
  23. Complete work and relevant documentation
  24. Pipeline easement is monitored to ensure pipeline integrity and work undertaken is checked against work schedule and anomalies reported to relevant person/s in accordance with workplace procedures
  25. Work site is rehabilitated, cleaned up and made safe in accordance with workplace procedures
  26. Tools, equipment and any surplus resources and materials are cleaned, checked and securely stored in accordance with workplace procedures
  27. Relevant persons are notified of work completion in accordance with workplace procedures
  28. Work completion documentation is completed accurately and provided to relevant person/s in accordance with workplace procedures
